The U-14 cricketer selection and skill camp for the Chattogram Division will take place on Saturday, February 1, at the Sagarika Women’s Sports Complex in the city. The camp, organized by the Chattogram Division Sports Association and managed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), will feature 55 cricketers from 11 districts of the division, previously selected by the board.
This camp is being held to form the Chattogram Division U-14 team for the BCB Young Tigers U-14 National Cricket Competition 2025. To ensure smooth management of the camp, the Division Sports Association held a preparation meeting on Monday evening (January 27) at the association's office in MA Aziz Stadium.
Present at the meeting were Mohammad Sihab Uddin, Deputy Director of the National Sports Council and Secretary of the Ad-Hoc Committee of the Division Sports Association, along with members Syed Abul Bashar, Mohammad Hafizur Rahman, and Shahnewaz Riton. During the meeting, the selected cricketers were requested to report to the Chattogram Division coaches at 11:00 AM on February 1. Hafizur Rahman was assigned responsibility for overseeing the entire event.
The first phase of the selection camp will run until February 4. From this, the best 20 players will be chosen for the next 10-day skill camp at the same venue. The selected players will include 8 batters, 6 pace bowlers, 4 spin bowlers, and 2 wicketkeepers.
