News desk : On June 10, 2024, (Monday) night, a team of Zorarganj police station of Mirsarai circle conducted an operation on the paved road in front of Taj Mahal restaurant in Mehdinagar village of Ward No. 3 of Baryarhat municipality under this police station and 01 Pro-Box car, whose registration number is Dhaka Metro:-C, was raided. - 32-8926 while transporting 30 (thirty) kg of cannabis arrested one accused and seized a pro-box car and took it into police custody. According to police sources, the name of the arrested accused is Md. Ibrahim (43), he is the son of deceased Saleh Ahmed A. of Jabad Ali Kerani Bari, Ward No. 1, Fazilpur Shibpur Village, Sadar Police Station, Feni District. Zorarganj Police Officer-in-Charge Abdullah Al Haroon told Daily Tourist that Deputy Inspector (SI) Habibur Rahman of the police station filed a complaint against the accused in a regular case under the Drug Act and sent the accused to jail on Tuesday. He also said that Zorarganj Thana Police will conduct such operations against drugs regularly.
