The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rangunia Model Police Station, Sabbir Mohammad Selim, and the OC of South Rangunia Police Station, Mohammad Jahedul Islam, have been transferred. The transfer was announced in a notification signed by Chattogram District Police Superintendent Mohammad Saiful Islam Santu on Sunday, February 9.
According to the notification, Mohammad Jahedul Islam, the OC of South Rangunia Police Station, has been transferred to the OC position at Satkania Police Station, while Sabbir Mohammad Selim, the OC of Rangunia Model Police Station, has been transferred to the Jorargonj Police Station in Chattogram.
On the other hand, Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Khan, the OC of Satkania Police Station, has been assigned to take over the responsibility of OC at Rangunia Model Police Station, and ATM Sifatul Majdar, the OC of Jorargonj Police Station, will now take over as the OC of South Rangunia Police Station.
Recently, there has been an increase in criminal activities in Rangunia Upazila, including theft, robbery, and fighting. This week, two schools in the area were victims of daring thefts, causing widespread panic across Rangunia. Local residents have called for the administration to step up its efforts and actions quickly to restore safety.
