Roknuzzaman Sabuj Jamalpur: Islampur Upazila Executive Officer Md. Touhidur Rahman of Jamalpur has been selected as the best UNO in the district for securing the first place in the Mymensingh division in the birth and death registration program. He also received the best award for securing the first place in the Mymensingh division in achieving the monthly standard of birth and death registration. On Sunday (July 20), Deputy Commissioner Md. Hasina Begum presented the honorary crest and certificate to the UNO on behalf of the district administration. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Iftekhar Yunus, Deputy Director (Acting) Local Government A.K.M. Abdullah-bin-Rashid and other officials of the district and upazila administration were present at the event. Meanwhile, people from different classes and professions in Islampur congratulated UNO Md. Touhidur Rahman for being selected as the best Upazila Executive Officer of Jamalpur district. The Upazila Executive Officer said, "I have received the support of the people of the upazila since joining Islampur Upazila. The higher authorities of the district administration have supported me in all my activities. In addition, with the sincere support of the local public representatives, secretaries, UP members, field-level officials and employees, village police, entrepreneurs and the common people, every work has become easy. For this, I thank everyone. I am working as a team leader in the birth and death registration program. I am happy to receive the recognition of the best UNO. I express my gratitude to all the people of Islampur who have supported me in achieving this success."
