Kazi Shahid, Gazipur Correspondent: Gazipur-5 constituency MP AKM Fazlul Haque Milon and Gazipur City Corporation Administrator Shawkat Hossain Sarkar inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects in Pubail to improve communication system and alleviate public suffering. The development activities were formally inaugurated from Pubail College Gate area at 10 am on Saturday (July 18). After that, several development projects including road widening, carpeting, development of drainage system and construction of footpaths were inaugurated and laid at various places including the area adjacent to Ichali Bridge in Pubail. At the inaugural ceremony, Member of Parliament AKM Fazlul Haque Milon said, "The prerequisite for economic development of the people is an improved communication system. The long-standing suffering of the people of Pubail will be eliminated through the construction of modern and sustainable roads, drainage systems and necessary infrastructure, as well as the overall development of the area." He further said that the government is continuously implementing development programs to make Pubail a modern, planned and livable area and this development trend will continue in the future. At the ceremony, Gazipur City Corporation Administrator Shawkat Hossain emphasized on the speedy and quality implementation of government development programs and sought the cooperation of the local people. Present at the event were Gazipur City Corporation Regional Executive Officer Rubaiya Yasmin, Executive Engineer Abu Saeed Chowdhury, Deputy Assistant Engineer Aman Ullah, Gazipur City Corporation Former Superintending Engineer Alhaj Mujibur Rahman Kajal, Pubail Thana BNP President Alhaj Monir Hossain Bakul, General Secretary Harun Or Rashid Sarkar, Senior Joint General Secretary Zakir Hossain Sarkar, Organizing Secretary Arif Hossain Bhuiyan, Members Sakhawat Hossain Khokon, Nazrul Hossain, Asad Hossain Bulbul, Alhaj Sultan Uddin Ahmed, Former Local Affairs Secretary Gazipur Metropolitan BNP. Ward 41 BNP President Mosharraf Hossain Dewan, local public representatives, leaders of various political parties, social and eminent persons and a large number of locals. According to locals, if these development projects are implemented, travel from Pubail to Gazipur will be easier, traffic congestion and waterlogging will be reduced, and overall economic activities in the area, including trade and commerce, will be given a positive boost.
