Amidst the longstanding challenges, neglect, and occasional oppression faced by journalists in Chittagong, standing by the courageous voices of the press, protecting their professional dignity, and contributing to the advancement of journalism is a remarkable responsibility. This responsibility has been proudly upheld for over a decade by the Chittagong Journalist Development Council (CJDC). Today, this continuous journey has reached a significant milestone. For the past ten years, the Council has tirelessly worked for the development of the journalistic community in Chittagong, safeguarding their rights and providing social support. From organizing condolence meetings to providing medical assistance, distributing gifts, and carrying out various community initiatives, every step has been aimed at standing firmly with journalists. In particular, the Council has become a safe haven for those journalists who have faced persecution or professional challenges. The tenth anniversary celebration of the Council serves as a commemoration of this remarkable journey. Attendance at this event is not just a celebration—it is a recognition of the Council’s steadfast support for the journalistic community and the courageous work of its members. This occasion stands as a public testament to journalistic ethics, professional integrity, and social responsibility. A Decade of Dedication: Courage, Commitment, and Responsibility The Chittagong Journalist Development Council is more than a professional association; it is a center of confidence for courageous journalists, a place where they can protect their rights and uphold their professional duties without fear. Tenth Anniversary Celebration: A Golden Milestone The Council will celebrate its tenth anniversary on Friday, December 12th, at Halishahar Chauchala, Sunset Point, Outer Ring Road, Chittagong. The day-long event will include a rally, discussion sessions, felicitation ceremonies, cultural programs, and the ceremonial cutting of the anniversary cake.
