Staff Reporter Jamalpur.. BNP discussion meeting and prayer mahfil were held in Rangamatia village of Sharifpur union of Jamalpur Sadar upazila. On Friday, July 4, at 8 pm, a discussion meeting and prayer mahfil was organized for the general voters at the late Alhaj Shahadat Hossain (Hazi Bari) of Rangamatia village under the initiative of Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal. The discussion meeting and prayer mahfil were chaired by Ward 1 BNP General Secretary Md. Alauddin Khoka of Sharifpur Union and moderated by Sharifpur Union Jubo Dal President Mehedi Hasan Kanak. The speakers at the discussion meeting and prayer mahfil were former Sports and Cultural Secretary of Jamalpur Press Club, Managing Editor of Palli Kanth Pratidin newspaper senior journalist Shah Ali Bachchu, Assistant Teacher of Sharifpur High School Shamim Master, Treasurer of Rangamatia Puratan Bari Cemetery Jame Mosque Mofizul Islam Roni, Assistant Joint Secretary of Sharifpur Union Jubo Dal Nur Islam Mithun, Science and Technology Affairs Secretary of Union Jubo Dal Rabiul Hasan Ratan, Organizing Secretary of Union Krishak Dal Shawkat Ali, Union Volunteer Party joint convener Sekandar Ali Subel, Ward No. 1 Jubo Dal president Anwar Hossain, Ward No. 1 Sramik Dal president Hafizur Rahman Fakir, Union Sramik Dal member Fakir Ali, BNP leaders Shahjahan, Anwar Hossain Babu, Union Jubo Dal member Rifat, student leaders Jalal, Jihad, Kabyo, Raju and Kamrul, etc.

The speakers said that the fascist Awami League government has been struggling for 17 years and has fled the country to India after the fall of Hasina in the July-August movement. But the Awami League members of Rangamatia village are still alive and kicking by conspiring against the BNP leaders and activists. They called on the law enforcement officers to arrest those fascist Awami League leaders. Addressing the leaders and activists present, the speakers also said that the month of July-August is historic for BNP, where on one hand there is the memory of mass uprising and mourning, on the other hand, in order to maintain the motivation of victory, they called on the leader of the masses, executive committee joint organizing secretary and district BNP general secretary Advocate Shah Wares Ali Mamun, the only BNP MP candidate for the Jamalpur-5 constituency, to vote for him with the symbol of a sheaf of rice. Later, prayers were offered for the recovery of former Prime Minister and national leader Begum Khaleda Zia, the souls of the martyrs of the 24th mass uprising, and for the injured of 24th.
