Ashraful Alom Ayub, Kaliganj (Gazipur) Representative: Two parties clashed in Kaliganj, Gazipur. A person named Zahidul Islam Shyamal (50) was killed. The victim's brother Shamsul Haque filed a written complaint at the police station as the plaintiff.
Kaliganj police station officer in charge (OC) confirmed the matter on Thursday (October 3) morning. Alauddin. Earlier on Wednesday (October 2) evening, the incident took place in Moktarpur Union of the upazila. The deceased Shyamal is the son of deceased Gias Uddin of Ward No. 7 of that union.
OC said, I heard there was a fight. One was injured and died in hospital. I have received a complaint in this regard and legal action is under process.
According to local sources, the scuffle took place after a dispute between two local parties regarding invitations to an event. At this time Zahidul Islam Shyamal was injured. He later succumbed to his injuries after being taken to hospital.
