Sheikh Md. Enamul Haque, Sirajganj correspondant: Brigadier General Engineer Md. Nazrul Hasan Manik (retd) held 289 meetings in 10 months to unite Awami League workers in Sirajganj-3 (Rayganj-Tarash and Salanga) constituencies on the occasion of the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections.

It is known that Md. Nazrul Hasan Manik, the son of Raiganj-Tarasha, was an active worker of Chhatra League in Pabna District School, Rajshahi Cadet College and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology from his student life. He was also known as a teenage news carrier of the Great Liberation War. After completing his student life, he held the rank of Brigadier General Engineer of the Bangladesh Army. After retiring in 2011, he became actively involved in politics to strengthen the Bangladesh Awami League. After retirement from working life, Bangladesh Pabna Municipal Branch served as an honorary advisory board member. After retirement, he started living permanently in Kusambi village of Tarash Upazila. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave him the responsibility of managing director of Dhaka Power Distribution Company Ltd. twice in a row. He coordinated with the Chairman of Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board and played an active role in bringing Tarash, Raiganj and Salanga under hundred percent electricity by 2018.

It is to be noted that Tyagi and Trinamool Awami League first started a courtyard meeting with a hand mic from a tea shop in Kusambi village to gain trust, love and trust. To gradually fulfill their hopes, from November 2022 to September 2023, they held 289 meetings with leaders and activists in Tarash, Raiganj and Salanga.

It is known that first Dighulia of Baruhas Union of Tarash Upazila, Nagarpara of Talam Union, Katagari Bazar of Desigram Union, Krishnadighi of Sadar Union, Badas of Tarash Municipality, Naogaon Bazar of Naogaon Union, Dhamaich Bazar of Saguna Union, Paushar of Madhainagar Union, Mannannagar of Magura Vinod Union, various unions including Awami League. Had a meeting with the staff. Gradually this type of public relations gained popularity. When this popularity spread, Kshirpota of Dhamainagar Union of Raiganj Upazila, Shaliagari Bazar, Ghurka Bazar of Ghurka Union, Chandaikona Bazar of Chandaikona Union, Tinnandina of Nalka Union, Sahebganj Bazar, Bashuria of Dhangara Union, Dhangara Bazar, Raiganj Bazar of Raiganj Municipality, Pangasi Bazar of Pangasi Union, Chadpur of Brahmagacha Union. , Amtala Bazar of Dhubil Union, Rupakhara in Sonakhara Union held numerous meetings.

Nazrul Hasan Manik, a candidate for the nomination of Bangladesh Awami League for the position of Member of Parliament for Sirajganj-3 (Rayganj, Tarash, Solanga) constituency in the upcoming 12th National Parliament Election, said that I am in 2022 to make the boat win in the National Parliament Election in 2024 and to fulfill the demands of the leaders and activists. From a tea shop, I started a courtyard meeting with a hand mic. At present, after receiving the response of every union, ward Awami League leaders and activists, I started a large-scale meeting. In the courtyard meeting, I listen carefully to the leaders and workers of the union and ward Awami League. We try to make the demands of any leader and activist a reality. I am holding this yard meeting at the grass root level to strengthen the Awami League.

He also said that in the twelfth parliamentary elections, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will give the boat to whomever, everyone has to work with him. There is no alternative to boats. We Raiganj-Tarash-Salanga residents will work for whoever gets the boat symbol. Apart from this, he has done extensive work in the political arena. He is maintaining regular contact with the leaders and workers of the party grassroots day and night in the constituency. Besides, he is encouraging the leaders and activists by participating in various political meetings. He has already made a place in the hearts of all people irrespective of party affiliation.
