Shariful Haque:  The great victory day was celebrated in Los Angeles on 17th December in a day-long "Bangla Victory Fleet" initiative and in a joyful atmosphere. December 16, Great Victory Day, the day of breaking the chains of the Bengali nation, the day of glorious achievements. Thousands of miles away, expatriate Bangladeshis celebrated Bangladesh's 52nd 'Victory Day' and the founding anniversary of 'Little Bangladesh' by flying red and green flags, blocking the busiest streets of Los Angeles. People of different countries stand on both sides of the road during this fleet of cars and welcome them by clapping their hands. The fleet of cars visited different places of Little Bangladesh and ended at Little Bangladesh square.

The victory fleet of Bengal was held in Los Angeles on Sunday 17th December. Day-long events include Bernadhya motor procession from 1:30 am to 3 pm and interesting cultural programs from 5 pm to 11 pm. Swami Subhanandpuri Maharaj started day long cultural program with new generations. Hosted by Los Angeles' popular presenters Mithun Chowdhury and Sazia Haque Mimi, singers Simi Israel, Kaveri Rahman, Urmi Atahar, Arjin Kamal, Apol Hafizur Rahman and invited singers Shah Mahbub and Naju Akand from New York presented a splendid cultural evening. Bengalis flocked to Little Bangladesh Square.

Syed M Hossain Babu, president of the Central Committee of Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance and adviser of the Victory Bahar of Bengal, said that the Great Victory Day is being celebrated in a solemn and festive atmosphere with due dignity and freedom and freedom struggle has emerged in the colors and colors of our new generation. Babu said, today is an unforgettable glorious day of bravery and valor of the Bengali nation for a thousand years on the day of great victory. He was the great leader of the liberation of the Bengali nation. Today is the day to emerge as a nation of heroes under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He said, first of all, we remember our martyred freedom fighters and intellectuals with deep respect and love. Today is the day to announce the name of an independent land called Bangladesh on the map of the world. Victory means joy, victory means exhilaration. It is natural that one will break the dam of joy in the joy of victory. President of 14th Bengal Victory Battalion Ismail Hossain said, I wish everyone a great victory day. Victory Day is a glorious day in the thousand years history of the Bengali nation. On this day, the name of an independent land called Bangladesh was written on the world map. As we know, this victory did not come easily. We achieved this victory after 9 months of bloody war against the Pakistani invaders. Behind this victory is the extraordinary sacrifice and bravery of our brave freedom fighters. Jahedul Mahmud Jami, the son of the sun of Bangladesh, said the brave freedom fighters of Bangladesh engaged in the war of independence against Pakistan in 1971. The war continued for 9 long months and finally we won the victory. This war in Bangladesh was a war for justice against injustice, a war for freedom against subjugation, a war for the right to speak the mother tongue. Great Victory Day is a happy day for us. On this day we celebrate Anand-Utsav. We greet each other. We share the joy of our victory. Abu Hanifa, a former member of the victory procession of Bangladesh, said, "We remember those who participated in the freedom struggle at the behest of Bangabandhu. Among them are freedom fighters, women, men and children, who have shown immense courage and valor in various battlefields.
