Shariful Haque: On the occasion of the 40th death anniversary of General Ataul Gani Osmani, the founder of Jatiya Janata Party, Bangbir, Bang Bahadur, the commander-in-chief of Bir Uttam Liberation War, a prayer meeting and discussion meeting was held at Scientology Auditorium adjacent to Little Bangladesh on Sunday (February 18). It was organized by "Hridaye Osmani Parishad". It was hosted by popular Los Angeles based host Shazia Haque Mimi and chaired by Yameen.
Bangladesh Association of Los Angeles Bala and Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance, United States Central Committee President Syed M. Hussain Babu and Bangladesh Association of Los Angeles Bala President Elect Sultan Shahriar Babu, Jalalabad Association of California participated in the discussion seeking the repose of the soul of General Ataul Gani Osmani, the commander-in-chief of the Liberation War. President Abdul Monim, popular leader of Little Bangladesh Bengali community and ex-president of Bangladesh Association of Los Angeles Bala Mominul Haque Bachchu, president of Little Bangladesh Press Club Kazi Mashruhul Huda, president of BAYS Saidur Rahman Sentu, president of Bangladesh Unity Federation of Los Angeles Shawon Zia, Dr. Rahi, Ismail Hossain, president of Bangla Vijay Bahar, Russel Mahmud Jewel, president of Bangladesh Student Organization, Ilyas Sikdar, leader of Little Bangladesh Bengali Community, Afzal Hossain, joint secretary of Bangla Vijay Bahar, former secretary of Jalalabad Association of California Jeebu.
Prayers are prayed for the souls of all the freedom fighters including General Ataul Gani Osmani, the commander-in-chief of the Liberation War, and all the deceased Bengalis living in Los Angeles.
