Staff Reporter; RAB arrested Md Masudur Rahman (42), the top leader of the banned militant organization 'Hizbut Tahrir', in Motijheel police station area of the capital last Sunday night. RAB-2 Senior Assistant Director (Media) ASP Shihab Karim told 'Daily Tourist' that the accused Masudur Rahman, who was sentenced to two years in the case of Anti-Terrorism Act, is the top leader of the banned militant organization 'Hizbut Tahrir' and a responsible member of the Dawat department. There were separate cases against him in the capital's Mohammadpur and Sherbangla Nagar police stations under the Anti-Terrorism Act. Among them, he is a fugitive accused in the case of Mohammadpur police station who has been sentenced for two years. He had been hiding for a long time, avoiding the attention of the law enforcement agencies. The activities of the militant organization 'Hizbut Tahrir' continued from hiding. RAB-2 arrested him last night after an arrest warrant was issued against him.
