Benjamin Rafiq: Tributes have been paid to the grave of Nazrul Islam Badami a veteran and well known journalist of Gazipur, Gazipur district correspondent of the daily The New Nation newspaper, who recently passed away. Fateha and munajat were recited at the Gazipur Central Cemetery on Monday morning, December 9.
Present at the event were the central chairman of the Writers' Development Center, prominent media personality and organizer Lion Mohammad Gani Mia Babul, President of the Gazipur District of the Nirapad Sorok Chai (NISCHA), Professor Dr. Md. Lokman Hossain, Editor and Publisher of the Daily Mukta Balaka Patrika Mohammad Alamgir Hossain, Acting Editor of the Daily Bhorer Alo Patrika Md. Shahjahan Khan, News Editor of the Weekly Adarsh Bani Patrika Rezaul Karim Mollah, News Editor of the Daily Bhorer Alo Patrika Biplob Bairagi, Photojournalist of the Daily Sarejmin Barta Patrika Kajal Mia and the son of the late journalist, current district correspondent of the Daily The New Nation Patrika Biplob Badi.
After recitation from the Holy Quran, prayers were offered for the peace of his soul.
Lion Mohammad Gani Mia Babul led the prayer.
