Staff Reporter, In two separate raids of RAB in Chattogram, RAB-7 raid team of Chattogram arrested SM Sohel, the fugitive accused in the check fraud case and Md Salauddin, the notorious fugitive accused in the controversial and sensational Mir Mohammad Yusuf murder case of Sitakunda police station. Acting Deputy Director (Media) of RAB-7 Chattogram Major Md Sadman Saqib (AMC) confirmed this information in the press release sent to the media on Tuesday. The press release also said that on the basis of secret information, RAB arrested the absconding accused SM Sohel (38), who was convicted in the CR case of check forgery of Hathazari police station, on Monday afternoon from the hospital crossing area of Hathazari police station. He is the son of Md. Samchul Huda of West Alampur village of Hathazari police station in Chattogram. On the other hand, Muhammad Yusuf was killed in an attack by his opponent due to a dispute regarding his grandson's land in Joramatal area of Sitakunda on November 16 last year.The day after the incident, the victim's wife filed a murder case at Sitakunda police station. RAB continues intelligence surveillance and shadow investigation with the aim of arresting the accused accused in this case. At one stage of surveillance, RAB-7, Chattogram came to know from secret sources that the absconding accused No. 4 of this case is staying in Faujdarhat Abdullah Ghata area of Sitakunda Police Station, Chattogram. On the basis of such information, a raid team of RAB-7, Chattogram conducted an operation in that area on Tuesday night and arrested the accused Md. Salauddin (47) and took him into custody. He is the son of deceased Abul Kashem of North Ghoramara village of Sitakunda police station, Chattogram. The arrested accused have been handed over to Hathajari and Sitakunda police stations on Tuesday.
