Staff Reporter: In RAB's anti-narcotics operation in Chattogram, 299 bottles of Phencidil were recovered and a person named Md. Murad Hossain was arrested and the private car used for transporting drugs was seized. In addition, RAB-7 raid team of Chattogram arrested Md Musa, the fugitive accused in the case of murder of businessman Nurul of CMP's Doublemooring police station and Md Aman Hossain, the convicted fugitive accused of Bhujpur police station, in two separate raids of RAB. Acting Deputy Director (Media) of RAB-7 Chattogram Major Md. Sadman Saqib (AMC) confirmed this information in a press release sent to the media on Wednesday. The press release also said that on Tuesday night, a temporary check post was set up on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in front of Faujdar Hat Cadet College of Sitakunda Police Station, Chattogram, after receiving information that a private operation was taking narcotics from Comilla to Chattogram. RAB arrested Md Murad Hossain (27), son of Md Shahid Hossain, son of Md Shahid Hossain of East Racecourse village of Kotwali police station of Comilla district, when he stopped the car and ran away. Later, according to the information given by the arrested accused, 299 bottles of phensidyl were recovered from 02 travel bags kept in a special technique from inside the bag shed behind the private car and the private car used for transporting drugs was seized.The estimated value of recovered drugs is Tk. 3 lakh. Also, on the basis of confidential information, RAB received information about the whereabouts of the fugitive accused No. 3 in the murder case of Doublemooring police station of Chattogram city in Mohammadpur area of Anwara police station of Chattogram. After receiving the news, RAB conducted an operation in that area on Tuesday night and arrested the accused Md. Musa (45) and took him into custody.He is the son of Md. Motaleb, adjacent to Aziz Miar Godown, Doublemooring Police Station, Chattogram.Earlier, on Tuesday, November 19 last year, Md. Alamgir, the main accused in this murder case, was arrested in a joint operation by RAB-7 and RAB-11 from Muradnagar in Comilla and handed over to the concerned police station. On the other hand, based on secret information, it is known that the absconding accused in the GR case of Chattogram's Bhujpur Police Station is staying in Heyakon Bazar area of Chattogram's Bhujpur Police Station.On such news, RAB's raid team conducted an operation in that area on Tuesday night and arrested the accused Md. Aman Hossain (33) and took him into custody. He is the son of Abul Hossain of Barabetua village of Bhujpur police station in Chattogram. During the interrogation of the arrested accused, it was further revealed that he was hiding in different places of Chattogram district to avoid arrest from law and order forces. The 3 accused arrested on Wednesday have been handed over to the concerned police station for further legal action.
