RAB's anti-narcotics operation in Chattogram, RAB-7, the raiding team of Chattogram, arrested 3 drug dealers along with 440 pieces of yaba.The arrested are Md Khairul Islam Jihan (29), son of Md Jasim Uddin, son of Md Jasim Uddin, of North Fatiabad area of Hathazari Police Station, Chattogram, and Md Azim Uddin Mizan (30), son of Md Harun of the same area, and the other is Opi Das (24), son of Mintu Das of South Rangamatia area of Fatikchari Police Station, Chattogram. Acting Deputy Director (Media) of RAB-7 Chattogram confirmed this information in a press release sent to the media on Saturday Major Md Sadman Saqib (AMC). The press release also said that based on secret information, some drug dealers are illegally stockpiling Yaba tablets on the paved road behind a building in Chowdhuryhat area of Chikondandi Union of Hathajari police station of Chattogram district for the purpose of sale. On the basis of such news, on Friday evening, RAB-7, a raiding team of Chattogram reached the area and the RAB members arrested three people and took them into custody. Later, a total of 440 pieces of Yaba tablets in 5 police packets were recovered from the pant pockets of the arrested accused.The estimated value of recovered drugs is Tk 1 lakh 50 thousand.On Saturday, the accused were handed over to Hathazari police station in Chattogram.
