Staff Reporter, RAB-7 raid team of Chattogram arrested two drug dealers along with recovery of 12,260 pieces of Yaba in Baklia police station area of Chattogram city. RAB-7 Chattogram Assistant Director (Media) ARM Mozaffar Hossain confirmed this information in a press release sent to the media on Friday. The press release also said that based on secret information, some drug dealers are staying in Tulatali area of Baklia police station of Chattogram city to sell drugs. Based on such information, on Thursday night RAB-7, Chattogram raid team reached Tulatali Mora area of Baklia police station of Chattogram city, RAB arrested and took 02 people into custody when they managed to escape after sensing the presence of RAB. The arrested are Majid Ahmad (35) son of Abdullah Ayach of Wala Palang village of Ukhia police station of Cox's Bazar district and Md Shahab Uddin (38) son of deceased Ali Ahmed of Dakshin Dhurang village of Kutubdia police station. Later, after questioning and searching the arrested accused, 12,260 pieces of Yaba tablets were recovered inside 02 shopping bags in their hands in blue colored polyzipper packets. The estimated value of recovered drugs is Tk 37 lakh.
