Staff Reporter, Chattogram district intelligence wing's special operation recovered 36 thousand pieces of Yaba tablets, seized 1 microbus for transporting drugs and arrested 2 drug dealers. Chattogram District Detective Police (DB) Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Sajedul Islam Palash confirmed the matter to 'Dainik Amader Bangla' on Saturday. He said, based on secret information, a team of Chattogram District Intelligence Police conducted an operation at the check post in Kamal Munsirhat Bazar of Patia Police Station on Cox's Bazar to Chattogram highway from noon to late night. At one stage of the operation, the raiding party arrested two people and took them into custody after searching a hitch microbus at the check post. The arrested are Nashir Uddin, son of Nurul Hossain, of Nur Hossain's house, Ward No. 7, East Bara Veola Union, Chakaria Police Station, Cox's Bazar district, and Rashiful Islam Rahul, son of Nurul Amin, of Tipu Bar's house in the same area. Later, according to the information given by the arrested accused, 36 thousand pieces of Yaba were recovered inside the left side door of the car and the microbus was seized for transporting drugs. The estimated market value of recovered drugs is Tk 1 crore 8 lakh. A case under the Narcotics Control Act has been registered against the arrested accused and the fugitive accused in the incident at Chattogram's Patia police station and the operation to arrest the rest of the accused in the case is continuing, said the district detective police official.
