Staff Reporter; National Security Intelligence Agency (NSI) and customs officials and two passengers involved in the smuggling of gold have been arrested from Sylhet Osmani International Airport. Sylhet Airport Authority told that the detainees were Syed Ahmed, 28, son of Hasib Ali of Rukanpur area of Baralekha upazila of Moulvibazar district and Aftab Uddin, son of Alauddin, son of Alauddin of Jantapur upazila of Sylhet. The detainees were bringing these gold into charger lights, fan and Thai glass locks. According to NSI sources at Sylhet Airport, two passengers from Sharjah Airport in Dubai on Thursday seized 120 gold bars and 4 gold paste wheels from two passengers of BG-202. About 17.500 kg. The estimated market value is about Tk 21 crore.
