Home Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury stated that the "Devil Hunt" operation will continue until the "Devil" is finished. He made this statement in response to journalists' questions after the inauguration of the new soil building at the Soil Resources Institute in Farmgate on Sunday (February 9).
Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that the "Devil Hunt" operation will target those who aim to destabilize the country. Many of those responsible for the attacks on students and the public in Gazipur have already been brought under the law. The remaining individuals will be apprehended soon.
Regarding the arrest of senior police officers, the Home Advisor stated that the public is aware of the crimes committed by those who have been arrested.
Earlier, following the terrorist attack on students and the public in Gazipur on Friday night, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday with the coordination of law enforcement agencies. The meeting decided to conduct "Operation Devil Hunt" with joint forces to maintain law and order in the affected area and bring the terrorists under the law. As of yesterday, the operation began nationwide, including in the Gazipur area. During "Operation Devil Hunt" in Gazipur, 75 people have been detained so far. All of the detainees are members, supporters, and activists of the Awami League.
