Benjamin Rafique: The 55th birthday of literary figure, social worker, cultural figure and central president of Kabi Sangsad Bangladesh, Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul was celebrated with various arrangements on the afternoon of May 6 at the seminar hall of Bangladesh Shishu Kalyan Parishad on Topkhana Road, Dhaka. On this occasion, Kabi Sangsad Bangladesh organized a discussion meeting titled 'Service for Humanity', poetry reading, cake cutting, prayer mahfil and floral greetings.
Kabi Sangsad Bangladesh Standing Council Chairman Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam Tamiji presided over the event, which was moderated by the General Secretary of the Poets' Association of Bangladesh, Poet Touhidul Islam Kanak, and the Literary Editor, Poet Roli Akhter, who addressed the birthday greetings, Poet Imroz Sohel, Chief Advisor of the Poets' Association of Bangladesh, Advisor Jagrat Mahanayak Shihab Alam Rifat and Principal Mohammad Ali Chowdhury Manik, President of the Coastal Journalists Forum, Ataullah Khan Ata, Puthi Samrajni Hasina Momtaz, Founding Editor of the Weekly Jubokantho Patrika, Akhter Hossain, Central Coordinator of the Bangladesh Government Secondary Teachers' Association (Basmashis) Abdus Salam, Brave Freedom Fighter Aminul Haque Bhuiyan, Brave Freedom Fighter Abdul Awal, President of the Lions Club of Dhaka Gloria Lion Haji Khaled MJF, Lion Khan Akhtaruzzaman, Chairman of the Rural Journalists Foundation (RJF) SM Zahirul Islam, Sufism Sarbjonin Foundation Secretary General Mufti Maulana Anisur Rahman Jafri, Asia Uprooted Human Rights Implementation Foundation Chairman Md. Dulal Mia, Bangladesh Media Club Chairman Md. Delwar Hossain Bhuiyan, journalist Atiqul Islam, Matir Sur Chairman vocalist Mahin Sarwar, Palki Shilpi Group President actor AB Badal, poets Ilora Soma, Taslima Akhter, poets Jannatul Ferdous, Akhti Akhter, poets Delwar Hossain Ratul, and others.

The speakers at the event said, Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul is a creative person with human qualities. He has been working for the welfare of humanity for a long time. Working for the welfare of humanity is the purpose of his birth. He is also a successful person in his family life. He is a skilled and successful organizer.
Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul said in his speech, I want to work for the welfare of humanity all my life. He urged everyone to come forward to help helpless people according to their ability. He also said that one's success lies in helping people.
At the event, organizations such as Kabi Sangsad Bangladesh, Lekhak Unnayan Kendra, Coastal Journalist Forum, Asian Television, Asia Chinnamoool Mandhaka Manjaksha Ten poets present at the event recited poems written about Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul. Puthi Empress Hasina Momtaz recited a book written about Gani Mia Babul at the event.
Milad and Doa Mahfil were held at the event to wish Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul good health, long life and all-round success and prosperity of the country and nation. Milad and Doa Mahfil were conducted by Mufti Maulana Anisur Rahman Jafri.
