Shah Ali Bachchu Staff Reporter Jamalpur.:The 44th martyrdom anniversary of former martyred President Ziaur Rahman was celebrated at the initiative of the Sreepur Union Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal of Jamalpur Sadar Upazila. On this occasion, a discussion and prayer mahfil were organized at the Gobindapur Madrasa ground on Friday, May 23 in the afternoon. Jamalpur District BNP General Secretary and Central BNP Joint Organizing Secretary Ed. Shah Md. Wares Ali Mamun were present as the chief guest in the prayer mahfil. District BNP Organizing Secretary and District Jubo Dal Convener Shafiqul Islam Sajib Khan, Jamalpur Sadar Upazila BNP President Shafiur Rahman Shafi and General Secretary Ruhul Amin Milon were present as special guests.
On the other hand, a prayer meeting was organized by the Sharifpur Union Nationalist Jubo Dal of Jamalpur Sadar Upazila after the Juma prayers at Badechandi Jame Mosque on the occasion of the 44th martyrdom anniversary of former martyr President Ziaur Rahman. The chief guest at the prayer meeting was District BNP Information Technology Affairs Secretary Professor Mokchedur Rahman Harun, Sharifpur Union BNP President Mizanur Rahman Hamidi, General Secretary Rafiqul Islam Bakul, Union Jubo Dal President Mehedi Hasan Kanak, General Secretary Nur Islam and BNP and Jubo Dal leaders and activists in various wards and Muslims of the area. The prayer was conducted by Imam Maulana Md. Masum Billah of the mosque.
