Benjamin Rafique: Dato' Dr. Ali Rustam, the Governor of the historic Malacca Sultanate of Malaysia and Chairman of the Malay Islamic World Institute (DMDI), extended a red carpet welcome to his close friend of 50 years, Alhaj Mohammad Fazlul Haque, a very well-known and important person at home and abroad, an internationally renowned social activist, the founder and chairman of the National Youth Federation, and the Chairman of DMDI Bangladesh, who received the World's Best Youth Award in 1987, today, 27th May 2025, at the Governor's Palace and hosted a luncheon. He met with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Dr. Ahmed Zahid bin Hamid, Chief Minister of Malacca State Datuk Utama Aab Rauf bin Yuso and senior police officials in Malaysia on May 25. He exchanged views on the various charitable activities of Mr. Fazlul Haque's National Youth Association, the overall development and mutual cooperation of Bangladesh, and praised Mr. Fazlul Haque's leadership, and supported Bangladesh's membership in ASEAN. They discussed the DMDI World Conference in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, in October 2025 and the extensive participation of Bangladesh. After visiting DMDI University, World Youth Institute, World Youth Foundation and various projects, he left for Kuala Lumpur in the afternoon - he will leave for Bangladesh on June 3, 2025, InshaAllah. It is worth noting that the National Youth Association, which was founded in Hazaribagh, Dhaka on October 1, 1966, is today a large mass organization.
