Alam Khan: Jamaat-e-Islami's nominated candidate for Narsingdi-3 (Shibpur) constituency and Upazila Jamaat Ameer Mostafizur Rahman Kawsar met journalists working in Shibpur, Narsingdi in a warm and constructive exchange of views. Shibpur Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami organized this meeting held at the Upazila party office after Asr on Sunday, November 2. The discussion meeting began under the eloquent management of Upazila Jamaat General Secretary Maulana Asaduzzaman. Chief guest Mostafizur Rahman Kawsar said at the meeting, "Our political goal is to serve the people and establish justice in society. Journalists are the beacons of light on the path of truth, without their cooperation, it is not possible to keep good consciences awake in society." Narsingdi District Jamaat-e-Islami Shura Member Maulana Md. Abdul Latif Khan and Upazila Jamaat Majlish-e-Shura Member Professor Ataur Rahman spoke as guests. Taking part in the discussion, journalist leaders highlighted the importance of professionalism, media freedom and writing for justice. Former president of Shibpur Press Club, Asaduzzaman, Nurul Islam Nurchan, former convener Advocate Badrul Alam, Alam Khan, former general secretary, Arif Hasan, journalists Masum, Ilias Haider, Momen Khan and many others spoke at the exchange of views. President S. M. Khorshed Alam and general secretary Sheikh Manik called on journalists to maintain unity and professional ethics. Finally, this exchange of views ended with prayers and good wishes, which is memorable as a bridge to instill respect, cooperation and responsibility towards each other.
